Bring your own drink!
It sounds simple enough , but people get lazy. Sure the bottles of Evian on campus are convenient , but they're also SO overpriced!
I bought 2-4 case of water from the superstore for 1.99$ , which is like half the price of 1L of water on campus. I keep them in the trunk of my car so that I can grab one on my way to class. If you don't drive, keep them close to your door, or somewhere that you will see them on your way out, so that you do not forget!
Remember, Evian spells Naive backwards.

I agree, its almost as expensive as ordering a drink at the bar. I've turned to the reusable water bottle to avoid buying water on campus the only problem with that is that if you aren't at the gym or the UCC finding a water fountain is a little more tricky.
ReplyDeleteI definitely support bringing a drink to campus with you as opposed to buying one, but definitely consider the reusable bottle as opposed to bottled water. There are a few reasons for this:
ReplyDelete1) Bottled water is of lower quality than what you get out of the tap (despite what ads would have you believe).
2) The environmental impact of bottled water is pretty high considering the plastic used in the bottles and the fact that it is often shipped far from where it is consumed.
3) It's even less expensive to fill your own water bottle.
AND if you don't like the taste of tap water, just fill up from a Brita pitcher at home or you can actually buy a water bottle with a filter built in.
